What will your story be?

 

One of the things Brett and I set out to do when we launched Healthport, was to enable greater control and independence for Australian’s faced with chronic health conditions.  Healthport have sought to do this by bringing cutting-edge wearable medical devices, to Australia.  Healthport wants Australian’s to be in the driver’s seat!  We want you to tell your own stories!

In 2020 Healthport bought the Steadi-One hand stabilizing glove to Australia.  The Steadi-One was designed to stabilise hand and wrist tremor for people with Parkinson’s and Essential Tremor. Steadi-One cleverly applied the same engineering principals used in earthquake proof construction, to achieve its aim.

In Australia we had clever gadgets that sought to minimise tremor, allowing people to more easily eat and drink…..but there is more to life than that!

Steadi-One allowed people with shaky hands to determine how they were going to use the glove – on their own terms – to tell their own story.

Brett and I have LOVED hearing those stories.

Now come 2022, and Healthport has begun to accept pre-orders for the new iteration of the hand stabilizing glove – The Steadi-Two!

Whilst the Steadi-Two has kept the best features of its older sibling – it also has a host of new features that we are sure you will love as much as we do.  The Steadi-Two;

• remains battery free – you simply pop on the glove, and you feel it working it’s magic instantly
• is amazingly lightweight – now weighing in around a tiny 400gms!
• is designed to work with a broader range of tremors, than its predecessor. Steadi-Two targets light to marked tremors.  On testing, Steadi-Two achieved an 80% reduction in tremors!
• glove is now ambidextrous – you can use it on either your left or right hand
• glove sleeve is machine washable – Simply remove the stabiliser before popping the sleeve in the wash – keeping things nice and clean
• is a drug free method of reducing tremors – no concerns about this treatment counteracting other medications you may be taking!
• lets you decide what activities you would like to use it for – you are in charge!
